Restaurant Renovation in Siberia: Structural Columns Transformed into Architectural Features
Previously a Subway restaurant, the space required extensive renovations: structural removals, ceiling exposure, and expansion of space-consuming columns. These columns — once a hindrance — were transformed into an intriguing monumental feature: preserved in original form but coated in unique plaster to differentiate from the rest of the interior.
Climate-Adapted Design: Vestibule, Wardrobe and Oval Feature Table
Addressing Siberia's harsh winters, we designed a combination vestibule and wardrobe to manage heavy clothing and protect against cold drafts — featuring an open design with a metal framework and corrugated glass curtain. A large oval table seating six, with a uniquely designed base and distinctive overhead lighting, creates an engaging zone that invites diners to linger.
