In this café project we took the historical code of Rostov-on-Don and reinterpreted it in our summer pavilion "Zatsepi Coffee." We designed this coffee shop interior around the city's connection to the Don River: markets, merchant quarters, leisure blended with trade — all translated into a contemporary riverside space. ...

Coffee Shop Interior Design: Historical Code of Rostov-on-Don

The color palette is built on shades of blue-green and terracotta, reflecting the river and its banks. The key accent is patinated copper — a nod to the city's merchant past and craft workshops. Wood recalls traditional architecture and shipbuilding, while tiled panels serve as a recognizable motif and calling card of Rostov-on-Don.

Multi-Level Zoning for Riverside Commercial Space

The space is designed so that everyone can find their own rhythm. A semi-covered area with bar counters, soft chairs, and a shared bench is perfect for observing the vibrant embankment life. On the terrace below, loungers and viewing benches turn you toward the river.

Rooftop and Outdoor Areas in Hospitality Interior Design

At the rooftop, time slows down: relax in a deck chair under branches, work in the fresh air at a communal table, or spend the evening watching the sunset. We brought the past and present together to create a place for rest with that very Rostov vibe — where the city feels free and easy, and the embankment is the center of urban life.
